WORK WITH THE STUDIO
CONSULTATION
Every bespoke piece begins with a conversation. During the consultation we'll take time to understand what you’re drawn to, what the piece is for, and how you want it to feel.
Consultations are complimentary, with no expectation to proceed.
DESIGN
Following the consultation, we’ll develop a series of design directions based on what we’ve discussed. We work to refine every proportion and detail until the design feels effortless.
You'll receive detailed renders of the final design for approval, giving you complete confidence before moving into production.
STONE SOURCING
Every stone is sourced specifically for your piece. Rather than working from a fixed inventory, we source through a trusted global network of leading suppliers, giving us access to an exceptional range of natural and lab diamonds, coloured diamonds and gemstones.
Once you’ve decided on the type of stone you’re looking for, we’ll curate a selection based on the design, your preferences and budget for you to review and compare.
Where applicable, stones are independently certified by leading laboratories such as GIA or IGI.
CRAFT
Each piece is made to order by master goldsmiths in Sydney CBD using precious metals including platinum and gold.
The material, proportion and construction of a piece are considered together from the beginning, with every setting, surface and finish contributing to the final design.
The result is fine jewellery made with the quality and longevity to be worn for years to come.
DELIVERY
Your finished piece is presented in our signature packaging and prepared for collection or insured delivery.
The studio remains available after purchase for cleaning, inspection, resizing where possible, and ongoing care.

Can I customise an existing Lloyd Steven design?
Yes. Existing designs can be adapted through stone, metal, scale and detail while retaining the character of the original piece.
Can you create something entirely custom?
Yes. We can work with you from the beginning to develop a completely new piece with Lloyd and the studio.
How long does a bespoke piece take?
Design takes 2 to 4 weeks on average, followed by 6 weeks in production after design approval.
If you’re working toward a particular date, let us know from the outset and we’ll advise what’s possible.
How does the bespoke process work?
The process begins with a conversation, followed by design development, stone and material selection where required, detailed renders for approval, and production once everything is confirmed.
How much does a bespoke piece cost?
Pricing depends on the design, materials, stones and complexity of the piece. Once we understand what you’re looking to create, the studio can provide clear pricing before any work begins.
Can you source stones for my piece?
Yes. We work with a trusted global network of suppliers across natural and lab diamonds, coloured diamonds and gemstones, and can curate a selection for you to review.
Can I use my own stone or existing jewellery?
In many cases, yes. The studio can assess an existing stone or piece and discuss what may be possible.
Can I work with the studio if I’m not in Sydney?
Yes. We work with clients locally and internationally, with virtual consultations available throughout the process.
How does payment work for a bespoke piece?
A 50% deposit is required to begin production, with the remaining balance due before the finished piece is shipped or collected.
How is my finished piece delivered?
Finished pieces can be collected from the studio or sent by insured delivery. We’ll confirm the safest and most appropriate delivery method with you before dispatch.
Can bespoke pieces be returned?
As bespoke pieces are made specifically for you, they are not eligible for return or exchange.
